Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Operativo MES and scheduler. Can't find your answer? Contact us directly.

How long does setup take?

The full setup takes 1 week. During this period we collect and structure your core data (orders, routings, lead times), configure the system, and generate the first plan.

Does it integrate with my ERP?

Yes. Operativo can import data from Excel files or integrate with major ERPs via API or scheduled import/export. We support integrations with SAP, Zucchetti, TeamSystem, and other common Italian systems.

How much does Operativo cost?

Pricing depends on company size and the features you need. We offer accessible plans for SMEs, far cheaper than enterprise APS products that start at 50-200k euros. Contact us for a tailored quote.

Do operators need training?

The interface is intuitive and requires minimal training (1-2 days). We provide onboarding for planners and operators, plus ongoing support included in the service.

Which industries do you support?

Operativo is designed for high-mix manufacturing companies: mechanical machining, sheet-metal fabrication, contract manufacturing, automotive, electronics, and other make-to-order sectors.

Can I try the system before buying?

Absolutely. We offer personalized demos on your own production data to show how Operativo can streamline your processes. The demo is free and no-commitment.

What is finite-capacity scheduling?

Finite-capacity scheduling plans against the real constraints of the shop floor: actual machine availability, operators, shifts, and skills. Unlike MRP, which assumes infinite capacity, it produces realistic and feasible plans.

How fast is rescheduling?

Operativo recomputes the full production plan in 2-5 seconds, even with 500+ orders on 30+ resources. You can react to disruptions in real time without losing hours to recalculations.

How does building new features from chat work?

You can describe in chat a view you are missing, an operational change, or a new need. Operativo's AI can use the platform context to structure the request, create operational views, or prepare the technical work needed to develop a new feature. It does not mean the software changes on its own without oversight: every outcome still goes through review and validation by the team.
